La migliore risposta ad un certo antisemitismo che cresce in Italia, purtroppo non più serpeggiante ma apertamente manifestato, si ritrova nella svolta storica imboccata dalla Lega Araba. “Hamas deve arrendersi” è la posizione di Paesi arabi, Italia, Ue che hanno firmato un documento proposto da Francia e Arabia Saudita. Il fatto che per la prima volta la Lega araba condanni apertamente il folle e ingiustificato attacco del 7 ottobre è unelemento che può cambiare anche la narrazione della guerra, oltre che le mosse politiche.
É quello il punto di partenza dal quale non si può prescindere, perché senza Hamas da Gaza sarà finalmente possibile riflettere sulla tracca dei “due popoli e due stati”. Ma fin quando Hamas rappresenterà la causa e l’effetto dello scontro nessun tipo di iniziativa potrà essere veramente risolutrice.
Accanto a ciò va messo in risalto un altro elemento: una certa disinformazione su Gaza è stata molto recepita da alcuni media italiani, troppo sensibili alla propaganda anti israeliana. Ciò è accaduto anche con la complicità di un sistema di sinistra che in Italia è ben presente in vari settori della società, come le università, i sindacati, canali televisivi, alcuni luoghi religiosi. Senza contare il delirio sui social.
Ma la situazione si può ribaltare mettendo in evidenza il comportamento di Hamas da un lato e le bugie dei filo palestinesi dall’altro. Episodi come quello che è accaduto giorni fa in rete con la foto di un bimbo denutrito, che invece affetto da fibrosi cistica era stato curato in Italia, pubblicata da un ex premier, vanno combattuti con decisione.

GAZA CRISIS, STARTING FROM THE ARAB LEAGUE’S TURNING POINT
The best response to a certain anti-Semitism growing in Italy, sadly no longer creeping in but openly manifested, lies in the historic turning point undertaken by the Arab League. “Hamas must surrender” is the position of Arab countries, Italy, and the EU, which have signed a document proposed by France and Saudi Arabia. The fact that for the first time the Arab League openly condemns the insane and unjustified attack of October 7th is an element that can change the narrative of the war, as well as its political moves.
This is the starting point that cannot be ignored, because without Hamas in Gaza, it will finally be possible to reflect on the path of “two peoples and two states.” But as long as Hamas represents both the cause and the effect of the conflict, no initiative can truly resolve the situation.
Alongside this, another factor should be highlighted: a certain amount of disinformation about Gaza has been widely disseminated by some Italian media outlets, overly sensitive to anti-Israeli propaganda. This has also occurred with the complicity of a left-wing system that is well-established in various sectors of Italian society, such as universities, trade unions, television channels, and some religious sites.
But the situation can be reversed by highlighting Hamas’s behavior on the one hand and the lies of pro-Palestinian groups on the other. Incidents like the one that occurred online a few days ago with the photo published by a former prime minister of a malnourished child who, in fact, had been treated in Italy for cystic fibrosis, must be decisively fought.
